"The automobile has been a fascination of mine from an early age.
In my earliest childhood memory I am sitting in the back of my dad's 1967 Ford Mustang. I was just able to peer out the window to see what was happening in the outside world."





biography


Todd Munro was born in 1969. He grew up in London, Ontario where he attended Beal Art, an intensive high school vocational art program.

In 1994, Todd Munro graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Fine Art from York University in Toronto, before moving to Montreal to pursue a career as an artist. In Montreal, he soon joined the printmaking studio Atelier Circulaire, where he became an active member - organizing local and international exhibitions, and doing committee work. Munro became Atelier Circulaire's president in 1999. As president, he represented the studio at the printmaking biennale in Lisbon, Portugal.

Munro has taught numerous courses, including, silkscreen printmaking at the Saidye Bronfman Centre in Montreal.

His original prints are in the collections of the Canada Council's Art Bank, la bibliothèque nationale du Quebec, IBM Canada, Bank of Montreal, Alcan, and the National Bank.

Todd Munro works and lives in Montreal and West Brome. He exhibits his automotive monotypes regularly in Quebec, Canada, the United States and Europe.
